Loop Designer

Design a loop — a task prompt plus the exit checks that decide when it’s done — and launch it into the Background Runner. Add one from the tile picker as Loop Designer; it is listed only where the deployment enables loops.

Designing a loop

  • Start from a template, or write the Task yourself. Suggest goals with AI proposes exit checks from the task.
  • Under Loop succeeds when, choose whether ALL or ANY checks must pass, and use Add check for each one.
  • Pick the Agent (or the workspace default) and Max iterations.
  • Advanced sets whether each iteration builds on the last or starts fresh, and whether hitting the cap pauses for review or fails the loop.
  • Loop Doctor reviews the design before you launch.

Choose Launch loop to queue it. If the Background Runner is off, the tile offers to start it.

Watching a loop

Once launched, the tile follows the loop: each iteration’s check results, spend and time, and where its result lands. Pause, Edit, Cancel loop, Raise cap and Design new control it, and Open Background Runner opens the Runner tile (adding one if the workspace has none).

For the full reference — check kinds, limits, retries, budgets and landing — see Loops.
